The models were repaired and checked for printability.
This is a turret only for use on the 28mm (1/56th) scale Warlord/Ilateri KV1 tank kit.
...Show more This will be of interest for fans of the Bolt Action gaming system. The standard KV, at "regular", will cost 350 points. The KV1S (a version used in the mid war period) was lightened to allow more speed (hence the "S" in the name); in the game this model loses the "armour all round" of 10+, but also looses the "slow" rule, and cost a whopping 70 fewer points - 280 points for a regular tank with 10+ frontal armour, a medium AT gun with 2" HE, and three MMGs.
In this model I started with Bergman file and upscaled the turret, re-did the main gun barrel to be more robust, added a turret pivot to fit the Warlord model. The fit is nicely snug. It will not fall out if held upside down, but slides on without issue. It could just be my print settings, results may vary.
I have done up two versions; one with the rear turret MMG to be printed and a second with a void in place of the rear MMG, in case someone wished to use an alternate method of representing the MMG.
As always, please be careful when removing the print supports.
