_Edit_: after a year all the plants were dead - the amount of soil in this is not enough to buffer the environment properly - also day/night temperature changes...Show more "pumps" moisture out of the system - that means it needs adding a very small amount water every say 6 weeks. This meant that for about 4 weeks there was too much water in there - leading to fungus growing on the plants in the end.

I took the idea of the IKEA dome Terrarium and decided to rework it slightly since I wasn't able to get the Moss to survive.

If you print this in PLA *do* use a lacquer on the inside the dome parts. PLA will expand ever so slightly *if exposed to water*. This will *burst* your dome. It happened to me so be careful.

Also the IKEA domes have some variance so use the test object to validate if it fits. Adjust the scad files if it isn't.

I recommend putting 1mm rubber sheet on the bottom of the base to keep it from sliding around.

Update: testing shows that my dome terrarium slowly loses water over time. Add a few tablespoons full every 6 months. I assume the loss is due to expanding/contracting air with temperature changes between day and night slowly "pumping" higher humidity air from the inside to the outside.
You can tell by looking at the condensation that fogs the glass when the plants are doing their thing in light. if there isn't any at all or if you have a plant that needs slightly more then you need to add water.
