If you have ever opened the Geeetech A30 hot-end box, you will surely have noticed the clumsy way in which the technicians have set the E3D-VX clone in the box that
...Show more makes up the heating unit.
The fact of not having an appropriate thickness between the horseshoe support that tightens the hot-end and the plane of the box, means that by tightening a little energetically the five screws they end up worrying the upper floor of this container and compromise the perpendicularity of the nozzle on the printing bed by introducing a number of problems and drawbacks.
To try to solve this stupid design I designed a thickness that fits perfectly to the A30's heating unit and that, once mounted, allows you to exert the right force in tightening the screws of the hot-end without ruining or compromising any component.
This sub-mod should obviously be printed with heat-resistant material (therefore no PLA), although I have taken care to design it so that it never comes into direct contact with the hot-end itself.
Use good PETG and the time and effort that will cost you to mount it, will be repaid by a greater stability and logic of the entire heating group of your beloved A30.
Good prints to everyone!
