Stuff you need:
One of each part
5mm square (or close) balsawood, at least 20cm long
1/4-20 hex nut
A bearing of your choice, with 1cm ID and 3cm OD
Hot glue
UPDATE 8/8/17
I uploaded separate versions to fit the Kestrel 4500 and 5500 series. The holders are pretty thin to save weight, so be careful of warping while printing. The bearing holders now hold the bearing much more securely, but may require some sanding to not scrape on the tripod holder. The tail now has MSGC on it (Montana Space Grant Consortium). It's not their logo, but it's in the old NASA worm font, so it looks cool. More updates later.

I added the compass rose part, which should fit between the bearing and the tripod mount.
