The original Pentax K5 has a problem with its lens release button coming off the camera body, so after gluing the original button several times, I decided to try to
...Show more make one myself. After some iterations, the result was exactly as good as I had hoped for :-)
The new button can be used with or without the rubber seal (I can of cause not guarantee the camera is still water tight after using this printer button, even if you use the original seal). Mount the seal on the button (if needed) and press the button in place!
USE THIS DESIGN ON YOUR OWN RISK!
After printing it, I pressed the small pin hard from different angles, to verify the print was strong enough, that I could expect ro not break when inserted or when in use! So make a strength test before using it - it is better it breaks before you use it, than after you have inserted it into the camera.
If the print does not succeed in at first, try adjusting the "cut_thick" parameter in the range 0.1 to 0.2 (try in small steps like 0.12, 0.14 etc) or even 0.08. Also, try different temperatures. I printed 8 simultaneously, as the button pin becomes much too hot if printing only one. Printing 5 or more will allow the button pin to cool down before the next layer of plastic is added.
The button was created in OpenSCAD and the source file is included, so you can modify it as needed.
