Two part stand for an Elecraft KX3 (if you don't count the pegs). Has room for a LiPo battery and includes a cut-out for the speaker. Ideal for portable work
...Show more and you barely know it's there when using the radio. Thinking of making different versions that can fasten to fences or trees or maybe fit on a stake driven into the ground. Could also do with somewhere to hide excess wires.
Print the parts, sand down the connecting rods to fit the holes, fit the battery, push the two half's together. Bingo! A battery protector / radio stand all in one :)
I use a 4S2P with mine, so the hole may be a little bigger than you need.
New pictures added as I had only printed half when I posted this. Left half is printed with 0.2mm layers, right half was printed at 0.28 if I remember correctly. There is quite a difference!
Could do with some rubber feet as it slides about a bit when used on a desk.
Suggestions about anything welcome please!
The cavity for the battery is 54mm x 32mm and is 87mm deep in each half, which makes it about 174mm in all.
Added an extension section that sits in the middle to allow the stand to support a KX3 and a PX3. I have not printed or tested the extension so please let me know if there are any problems.
